I was just listening to some of Chris' older tunes, and it dawned on me...

he was The Man Of all our Dreams.

That is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Thanks Chris.

I couldn't help but fall in love with Chris when I heard him sing the first time. I feel so privileged to have seen him here in Tucson many times. Never thought there'd be a last time. You're all in my heart.

Julie,
I am so very sorry for your loss. When I heard Chris had passed my heart just broke for you and your family. But coming to this site and seeing the amazing outpouring of love and support from all the lives he touched all over the country--it left me in awe. I hope that you can find some comfort knowing how many people loved him and what a beautiful mark he left on the world.
In deepest sympathy,

I just heard about Gaff's passing. Even though I was somewhat of a passive fan, I'm incredibly saddened by his death. Heaven's All-Star Jam just got a little bit better. RIP, Chris and my deepest sympathy to his family. He will be greatly missed.

This Weekend,
The Zoo Bar, Lincoln, Nebr.,
will host
a tribute to Chris Gaffney
and fundraiser
this Sunday, May 18, 4 p.m.-10 p.m.

Bands include Gerardo and Tony Meza
Son of 76 & The Watchmen
The Mezcal Brothers
Charlie Burton & the Dorothy Lynch Mob,
and the Bellflowers.
There will also be a screening of some of the video from the Sunday Roadhouse / Mick’s Hacienda Brothers performance that was screened at the Sunday Roadhouse benefit/tribute to Gaff on April 28.
Suggested donation is $10, and there will also be an auction of donated items.
The venue will be open 2-4 p.m. for a wine tasting event, so feel free to come on out early!

The Zoo Bar is a historic blues/roots venue where the Hacienda Brothers played many times, often for 3-4 nights in a row. The band actually used a several night run at the Zoo to tighten up before their first trip to SxSW and packed the place every time they played there, night after night. Gaff and The Bros had so much material and such depth as musicians that you’d never see the same show twice.
Gaff, you are loved and missed!!!

My dear Julie,
I received your card today. Thank you so much. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. Please keep my info handy and if you every need anything please don't hesitate to contact me. I lost my brother Jamie the day after Chris's tribute in Long Beach. Needless to say it has been a rough month. My heart is with you always.
Much love,
Linda

Julie,
Your sweet postcard came in the mail ot too long ago. I tacked it on the wall right next to my front door, to remind me what amazing people there are in this world and to have a little giggle when I see Chris's goofy grin.
Thank you for sharing Gaff with all of us. He definitely has his hands full--keeping an eye on such a wild bunch!
