Your generosity, support and love is so overwhelming to our family.

Your amazing gifts have lightened the burden in so many ways. The hospital stays, myriads of tests and procedures, and meds have been taken care of, thanks to all of you.
Chris started chemotherapy on Fri. Next week with or without insurance Chris will undergo a procedure called chemoembolization which will directly target the cancer with beads of chemo.
Thanks to all your prayers and well-wishes, Chris has his dukes up and is ready for a K.O.
We’ll keep you updated on his progress.

Hello Amigo!
The Sunday Roadhouse benefit is ON -- I sent the info to Ben to post out front...
You were being talked about from onstage last night in Omaha with Baby Jason, Larry Boehmer, RJ Mischo, Cid Cidlak, Sean Benjamin and David Watson playing in their new band OLD SCHOOL...and Jason was talking about you and reminding people to get over here to HelpGaff.com and help however they can.
There is Much Love coming from Nebraska and lots of prayers...
Hopefully you all have connected with my buddy Curtis -- he's been through so much of this and can provide some insights and morale support, I think... and he's happy to talk with you all whenever he can help! ....I know a lot of what you are going through sucks with the treatments, tests, etc., but I know that the outpouring of love and knowing you are not alone can make it all a little easier.

Take it all one thing at a time, soak up all the love coming your way and keep the faith...I believe you'll be back out here singing for us real soon. You've got a whole lotta soul and many more songs to sing for us all.
Much love and big hugs to you and Julie and all your loved ones.
You are in my thoughts and prayers everyday for Miracles Large and Small.
your Omaha pal,
B.J.

We're here in South Carolina sending you our *very best* healing
thoughts and prayers to you.

I saw the news of your illness on KPIG's website and forwarded a contribution to help out.

I know how hard it is go thru this sh#t -- however if i can do it, a hard rockin' cowboy like you will do it too & soon your Doc will say, "Welcome to NED" No Evidence of Disease

I just rec'd the bad news. Death don't have no mercy, all over the land. I am so p.o at this calamity.

Please encourage the folks who were doing benefits to continue them as a memorial gig.

Of the Chris and Hacienda Bros and Guilty Men cds I have my fave is a boot from a show I caught at the Double Door Inn, Charlotte, NC 09 10 05. He gave a lot of love along with his fine tunes.

sincerely, Joe B. San Deigo

I am speechless. Jules, you know I love you and have no words to calm what you are feeling right now. Hang in there, as best possible and know Chris is not in pain anymore. You have SO MUCH support in your corner; please fall back on it, as this will be a rough time for you without your "role dawg". My deepest sympathy to you, both your families and the band.

I was in a little country band with Chris just before he joined Phanton Herd. Of the five of us he was the only one with real talent, as his life eventualy proved. After that we lost track for about 20 years until a few years ago my return to playing the guitar drove me to search out Chris' cds and local gigs. It doesn't feel that we were ever very far apart, but the loss now is very deep despite all the lost years.

Well beyond his talent, the really beautiful thing here is the love and friendship his character created. He obviously did a good job of living. I guess the one good thing is none of us get out here alive and we all will be with Chris soon enough. I plan on catching up for lost time with this ol' boy.

Chris, thanks for the memories and music you leave us with. See you soon.

The long held note of his life has faded to silence. There is a void today where Chris once filled it with energy, talent and humor. He will be missed, my thoughts are with his family.

Dear Julie and family, I did not know Chris personally, but he was always with me (or us) on road trips...songs played over and over again...at backyard BBQ's where I forced my friends and family to listen. My former boyfriend and I would often fantasize about hiring Chris and the band to hang out with us houseboating on Lake Mojave. If Chris was playing at the Swallows, I would be there, eagerly waiting to hear "East of Houston, West of Baton Rouge".

I will miss Chris greatly and any new friends and family will always know who Chris Gaffney was and is.

Thank you, Chris, for the good times, the laughs, and the great music...
